Dr. Phillips girls basketball advances to state championship

The Lady Panthers defeated Vero Beach 79-57 in Lakeland to advance to the final.

Dr. Phillips' girls basketball team is headed to the state final for the first time in a few seasons after defeating Vero Beach 79-57 in the Class 7A state semifinal game in Lakeland. 

The Panthers will look to win their first state title since 2013-14. 

DP will play the winner of the Colonial vs. Miami game on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 8 pm in Lakeland.
