Competing in the District 14 Tournament of Champions for 9-year-old All-Stars teams, the boys from Dr. Phillips Little dominated the competition in pool play before winning the district title in walk-off fashion last month.

DPLL’s 9-Year-Old All-Stars won the four games they played in pool play at South Lake Little League June 9-13 by a combined score of 71-18. The district championship, June 14 against Winter Garden, was quite different — DPLL won 7-6 on a walk-off.

The championship team included Jack Riley, Yomar Infante, Vincent Guadagnoli, Tyler Creavy, Zachary Blum, Baron Bañez, Jackson Stecher, Caleb Smith, Jace Jenniex, Aiden Williams, Jack Meyers, Colton Showley, Camden Clark and Nicholas Pasquinelli.

The team was coached by Rico Banez, Gary Wallace and Andre Williams.
