Oakland is hosting an autumn Food Truck Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, on the Oakland Avenue Charter School grounds, 456 E. Oakland Ave., Oakland.

The featured film, “The Nut Job,” will begin at 7:15 p.m. Participants should bring blankets, chairs and bug spray for the family feature. A limited number of Oakland T-shirts will be given away during the event.

Patrons also can enter a drawing for the town’s Buy-A-Brick campaign. Three winners will be chosen to receive a free engraved brick on a new walkway leading to the KaBoom! playground at West Side Park. One entry ticket will be issued for every $10 spent at the food trucks.
