+ Services delivered to nursing homes

The Jewish Pavilion has been providing Rosh Hashanah services to more than 50 senior nursing homes, assisted living and rehabilitation centers and independent-living facilities in Central Florida.

These services bring the Jewish New Year’s traditions into these facilities where residents dip apples into honey and eat honey cake and raisin challah — all to celebrate and wish for a Sweet New Year. The sound of the shofar typically concludes these services, which are open to all faiths.

The Jewish Pavilion is a resource that provides Jewish cultural support and companionship to facilities for seniors in long-term care with the help of its 350 volunteers and its small staff. The mobile community center brings holidays and programming to the residents.

For more information, call (407) 678-9363.
