Faith church members complete service weekend

Members of Faith Lutheran Church participated in an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America churchwide service weekend, titled, “God’s Work — Our Hands,” Sept. 6 to 7.

People of Faith volunteers prepared and served food at the West Orange Christian Service Center, held a car wash to raise money for the American Bible Society to send scriptures to children in other countries, cleared some wooded areas along the West Orange Trail, assembled childcare furniture and worked in the garden for Matthew’s Hope.

The church members had a great time working together, serving together and showing the community that they belong to a church that “rolls up its sleeves and works” to make lives better.
