Bring snacks, a blanket and the whole family to Winter Park’s Central Park at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, to catch this month’s Popcorn Flick in the Park showing of “Toy Story.” For more information on this free event, visit enzian.org

JULY 4

Come out to Winter Park’s Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration in Central Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 4. The annual celebration will feature live patriotic music by the Bach Festival Brass Band and the Bach Festival Choir. Horse-drawn wagon rides and free bike valet service will be provided, and the annual bicycle parade will be held at 9 a.m. Free hotdogs, watermelon and water will be available. Come see fireworks and listen to the Orlando Concert Band and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra for free at downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 4. Food will be available for purchase.

Come join the 23rd annual Hunter Vision Watermelon 5K Run/Walk through Winter Park’s Central Park at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 4th. There will be a watermelon eating competition. JULY 5

Come shop, eat and play at Baldwin Park’s Independence Day Bash on Saturday, July 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The festival kicks off will an art sale, festival snacks, face painting, balloon art, interactive activities and fireworks. Maitland’s Summer Youth Tennis Camp is now in full swing at Maitland Community Park and runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon now until Aug. 14. Head teaching pro Donnie McGinnis will teach the camp, with levels available for beginner and intermediate players. Bring a racquet, water, a towel and sun block. The cost is $110 for Maitland residents and $120 for non-residents. Registration is available at Maitland Community Park, or by calling 407-539-0042.

The REP (Orlando Repertory Theatre) Youth Academy will be offering more than 80 summer camps from now through Aug. 15. The camps will be held at three locations, including the theater's three-stage facility in Orlando's Loch Haven Park, as well as Celebration K-8 School in downtown Celebration and the University of Central Florida in east Orlando. The camps and productions are designed to foster self-confidence, creative thinking and problem-solving skills through the medium of the performing arts.
