APRIL 5

At 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, Highwayman artist and author Robert Butler will be at the Maitland Public Library for a book signing of his new book, “Highwaymen Artists: the untold stories.” Call 407-647-7700.

APRIL 7

A Pool Grand Opening Celebration will be held on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the Winter Park Community Center located at 721 W. New England Ave. Call 407-599-3275.

From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 7, there will be a poetry writing class for ages 8-12 at the Maitland Library. A Poetry Writing class for young adults and adults is also being offered in the afternoon, from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants must register for the writing classes. Call 407-647-7700.

Winter Park’s 58th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7, in Central Park West Meadow located in downtown Winter Park. The hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. with the official starting signal. For more information, call 407-599-3275.

APRIL 14

Winter Park’s Summer Camp Resident Registration Fair is 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 14, at the Winter Park Community Center Ruby Ball Amphitheater, 721 W. New England Ave. Requirements to register include proof of residency, a $25 registration fee and $5 deposit for each week. Visit cityofwinterpark.org

From 8 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 in Winter Park’s Central Park, the Enzian will feature “To Kill a Mockingbird,” a Popcorn Flick that is free. Visit enzian.org/film/to_kill_a_mockingbird/

APRIL 20

“Park Maitland Perspectives” opens on Friday, April 20, at the Maitland Art Center with a free reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit features the works of the skillful sixth-grade Park Maitland School students instructed by arts educator Sandy Bonus.

At 10:30 a.m. each Tuesday, the Maitland Public Library hosts preschool story and craft time. At 10:30 a.m. each Thursday, it hosts baby time stories and activity. At 4 p.m. each Thursday, it hosts Reading Buddies for kindergarten through fifth-grade. Call 407-647-7700.
