Orlando-based O,R&L Facility Services and Owens Realty Services is teaming up with Winning Ways International, a Central Florida-based basketball program, to sponsor the second annual “Rising Stars Basketball Clinic” on Aug. 3-4 at the Winter Park Community Center. The free camp will serve nearly 300 Central Florida residents ages 8-18 – focusing on life skills and teamwork. Spots are still available. As part of Florida Tax Free Weekend Aug. 3-5, Orlando Fashion Square is hosting a Kids Fair on Saturday, Aug. 4, during regular mall hours. For more information, call 407-896-1132.

The Center for Contemporary Dance will present Healthy Body Image through Effective Communication, a free workshop for young dancers (ages 9-15) and their parents on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 1-3 p.m. The workshop provides an opportunity for parents and their dancer children to openly examine and discuss perceptions and dynamics related to body image. Storytime at Leu Gardens presented by Nemours BrightStart! begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. The Orange County Library System’s storytelling program comes to Leu Gardens the first Monday of each month, excluding holidays. Enzian’s popcorn flicks in Central Park will feature “Babe” at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. Gather friends, grab a blanket and enjoy classic family films once a month under the stars in Winter Park’s Central Park. Films and popcorn are free compliments of Enzian. Movies in the Park is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, on the Village Center Green (in front of Barnie’s) in Baldwin Park. Family activities will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by entertainment and announcements at 7:30 p.m. A drawing for gifts donated by the sponsors will be held just before “Cars” plays at dark (around 8 p.m.). Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Seating is limited, so arrive early! The event is sponsored by the Baldwin Park Merchants Association.

Crealdé School of Art culminates its popular summer ArtCamp program with a youth art exhibition featuring works of the next generation of talented artists from August 18 – September 8 in the Showalter Hughes Community gallery on Crealdé’s campus, with almost 300 pieces of artwork on display. Track Shack’s 21st Annual Celebration of Running 5k will be on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Orlando Science Center Loch Haven Park, 777 E. Princeton St. The 5k will begin at 7:30 a.m. At 8:45 a.m., the Healthy 100 Kids’ Run will begin, and awards will be given out at 9 a.m. This is the first of six premier Orlando running and walking races. The Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) invites families to attend the Sixth Annual Target Family Theatre Festival in Loch Haven Park from now through Aug. 5. The Art & History Museums – Maitland and the Cornell Fine Arts Museum on the Rollins College campus take part in the Blue Star Museums program, in which active duty military and their families can enjoy free museum admission at more than 1,500 museums nationwide from Memorial Day until Labor Day. There is still time to register for Winter Park Day Nursery’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program that will begin on Aug. 20.
