I'm feelin' ARTY!

Yeah, but I'm also starting to moult a bit as well, as I begin my transformation into a huge owl . . . and with my allergies this morning, I'm hopeful I will not sneeze my XL head off!

Okay, yeah, TMI . . . . it's GAWJUS out and if you are indoors right now . . . . you need to be making plans to be OUTdoors! Seriously.

New neighbors moved in over night and Central Park is currently filled with squatters! Yeah, actually, they're paying rent, AND they were invited, but it was much more fun to say SQUATTERS, was it not? Was for me.

But I watched them take over yesterday and aside from the art they create, it can be a heck of a lot of work just moving in and out, putting up those tents! So, come out, come out, wherever you are, artists have moved in from a far. Come meet them!

It wasn't easily to view much yesterday as they were unpacking, but one I did have a brief chat with the wife of one artist from Orlando -- okay, they didn't come quite so far, but a lot of others did! -- Robert Kastrinos and his wonderful sculptures. Check out the accompanying photo of his work 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Tea'. His wife told me it all originated from a museum in Brevard County presenting him the small take out box at the bottom, asking him to create a piece of art from it. Ah, inspiration. He's got lots of wonder pieces, many around that 'tea pot' theme. He's located on the south end of the park, adjacent to the railroad tracks.

Tonight I shall absolutely be at the Harriett's Park Avenue Fashion Week kick off at McRae Studios off Webster and adjacent to the railroad tracks. Such a wonderful assortment of Local artists to view and enjoy any time, but tonight, mixed with fashionable models and an overall theme of fashion, I'm anxious and excited to see what it all looks like. I KNOW it's going to be FUN!

A few incidentals . . . .

Caught some new Local glass art yesterday just breezin' past Blue Door Denim Shoppe. Lee Taylor is an artist I've not had the pleasure of meeting, but LUVed her glass pieces, now displayed near the store's front. I'll be at Blue Door today after I transform back to human form . . . . beer on the back patio! :-) Twist my arm.
