FHP searching for suspect in road-rage shooting on turnpike near Winter Garden

The shooting, which injured two, occurred on the Florida Turnpike’s southbound lanes near mile marker 272.

ORANGE COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are currently on the lookout for the occupant of a grey Toyota Camry suspected of shooting two on the Florida Turnpike.

The suspected road-rage shooting — which occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m on Saturday, Nov. 25 — took place in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike by mile marker 272 near Winter Garden.

The suspect shot at two occupants in a Chevy Impala and fled the scene. Both gunshot victims were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Their condition is not currently known.

All lanes of the Turnpike have since been reopened following the incident.
