Fit for the Fourth: Day 18

In 2008 I put in an application for the Leadership Winter Park program and was excited when I was chosen to be a member of class 21. Each month the program highlights a different aspect of the Winter Park community for one day. Facilitators take you around the city of Winter Park and you learn about the city and do some hands on leadership training. My favorite day by far was Sports and Leisure. So every year since I have volunteered with a few of my classmates to facilitate the day for future classes.

Here is the agenda for Sports and Leisure Day

We start the day off with Golf at Winter Park Country Club

Then we play Basketball and Volleyball at the Community Center

Bowling at Bowl America

Last but not least, Croquet at the course right in front of Casa Feliz!

It is an activity filled day but it really highlights a lot of different ways to get active in Winter Park.

I highly recommend the Leadership Winter Park Program for anyone who has interest in the city. It is a great way to network with other business executives in the area.
