Here's what we learned from the last week of the regular 2022 football season.

LIONS DEFENSE ENDED STRONG
After defeating Holy Trinity 27-10, the Lions once again demonstrated outstanding defense skills on the football field. Linebacker Sam Zagame ended the last game of the season with 16 total tackles — five TFL. Running back J.T. Bronaugh rushed for 185 yards and one touchdown. Linebacker Mathew Austin finished the game with 11 total tackles, — five TFL.

VIPERS MAKE SCHOOL HISTORY
For their last game of the season, the Lake Buena Vista Vipers got their first win in school history after defeating Colonial 37-15. Quarterback Josiah McNair rushed the ball for 127 yards two rushing touchdowns. He also completed a 75-yard touchdown pass. Running back Andres Romero rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.

WOLVERINES GET RECORDS AND CAREER HIGHS
The Windermere High School Wolverines played their final game of the season against Horizon High Friday, Nov. 4. Two Wolverines got school records during the game, and another reached career highs. Sophomore wide receiver Shawn Falahpour hauled in 11 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown. With the big game, he set the school record for receiving yards. Sophomore quarterback and athlete Bryce Speed threw for 183 yards and a touchdown, and tallied 92 rushing yards — both are career highs. Junior defensive end and wide receiver Anthony Rosier ended his season with six sacks, a school record.

ROYALS D STRONG IN LOSS
Despite their loss against Windermere Prep Friday, Nov. 4, the Royals defense still posed to be a strong opponent against the Lakers. The defensive line got 80 total tackles during the game. Trey Newsome led the team with a total of 17 tackles, followed by Minor Jones, who ended the game with 11 total tackles. The Royals defense also was able to get five sacks on the night.

WARRIORS OFFENSE FIGHTS THE KOWBOYS
Despite their loss against the Osceola Kowboys Friday, Nov. 4, the West Orange High School Warriors offense performed well during the game. Quarterback Trever Jackson went 9-of-18 in passing for 241 yards, and wide receiver Jordyn Bridgewater hauled in six throws for 222 yards.
