Florida Paints is collecting donations for relief efforts in the Bahamas

Donations can be dropped off at Florida Paints, 14215 W. Colonial Dr. in Winter Garden.

A local paint store is offering its space as a drop-off location for aid to victims of Hurrican Dorian. 

Florida Paints has opened its doors to serve as space for items to be donated to relief efforts in the Bahamas. 

Those who wish to donate needed items to the Bahamian islands of Abaco can take them to Florida Paints at 14215 West Colonial Dr. in Winter Garden. 

Items of immediate need include:

  • Feminine products, baby products and basic toiletries
  • Sleeping bags
  • Large Water Jugs
  • Bottled water
  • Medical supplies/first aid supplies
  • AA and AAA batteries
  • Flashlights/headlamps
  • Solar-powered phone chargers
  • Generators
  • Coolers
  • Blue tarps
  • Rolls of plastic sheeting
  • Work gloves and boots
  • Staple guns and staples
  • Chainsaws
  • Water purification tablets
