Football: Class 5A, 7A and 8A playoff points system averages for Oct. 11 -- Observer Preps

With games through Oct. 9 included, the FHSAA released its latest playoff points-system averages Oct. 10, lending some more clarity to the evolving playoff picture.

With more teams in Classes 5A through 8A having played multiple district games, this week we are including district records and sub-dividing regions in those classifications by district. 

Recall that district champions still earn automatic playoff berths in Class 5A-8A (four per region), as well as the top four non-district champion teams in each region, for a total of eight playoff teams per region.

Playoff points-system averages follow school name, with district records following in parentheses. Within districts teams are listed in descending order by points averages.
