The Foundation Academy family will be honoring the life of former Lion, Evan Fitzgibbon, with a Candlelight Vigil at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Lion Field on the Tilden Campus.

Fitzgibbon, who graduated from Foundation Academy in 2017, was a U.S. Army 2nd Lt. and one of two soldiers killed during a Ranger School training incident Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The entire football team will be present at the event. The students who currently carry the jersey No. 6 will wear the number, as it was Fitzgibbon's jersey number during the years he took onto the football field as a Lion.

The event is open to the public for all who would like to attend.
