Thanks to Windermere Elementary's Mustang Education Fund, those who pass by the school now will see its brand-new, LED marquee sign.

Led by parents from the school and supported financially by donations from families at the school, a program operated under Orange County Public Schools to raise additional money for technology resource purchases at WES.

"We are very excited that this sign was approved by the Windermere Town Council and supported by the neighboring homes," said Lana Marchitelli, who is involved with the fund.

School staff, Windermere leaders and community members gathered for a ribbon cutting for the sign on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Attendees included WES Principal Diana Greer, Windermere Mayor Jim O'Brien, CT Allen, Dena O'Malley and Administrative Dean Amy Diederich.
