Gabriel Preisser named to Orange County Public Schools Hall of Fame

The West Orange High School graduate went on to have 40 operatic and musical theater roles.

Congratulations to Gabriel Jon Preisser (West Orange Class of 2002), who will be inducted into the OCPS Hall of Fame in March. 

While at West Orange he was an honor student who excelled in academics, athletics, drama, musical theater and chorus. He graduated summa cum laude with degrees in vocal performance and commercial music from Florida State University and completed a master’s degree in voice from the University of Houston.

His resume includes more than 40 operatic and musical theater roles. He is a frequent recitalist throughout the U.S. and currently the executive and artistic director for Opera Orlando. 

Tim Freed was the managing editor for the West Orange Times & Observer and the Southwest Orange Observer. He previously spent six years covering the Winter Park/Maitland area and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.
