High 5 for Nov. 1 -- Observer Preps

Athletes from Trinity Prep, Bishop Moore, Winter Park, and even Rollins round out this week's High 5.

Bishop Moore golfers Nicholas Diebel and John Trey Diehl III tied for third overall on the individual level at the 2A State Tournament – shooting +6. The Hornets boys golf team finished third overall, as they shot a +20.  

Jan Collazo Torres led the Trinity Prep boy's swim team to a Class 1A, Region 2 win as he took the 50 free (at 21.56) and 100 free (at 47.20). The Saints would go on to also take the 200-medley relay (1:37.62) and 400-free relay (3:12.40) before winning the overall meet with a team score of 402. 

Grace Olivardia helped the Trinity Prep Saints girls swim team to a second-place finish (with a team score of 370) in the Class 1A, Region 2 meet at Lake Highland with a win in the 100 fly (58.86).  

Lauren Musante had 12 kills and 20 assists for Winter Park High School (22-6) in a 25-13, 25-17, 19-25, 25-17 win over Apopka. 

Mercer University will take on the University of Tampa and Rollins College in two separate lacrosse matchups at noon and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Rollins College. Proceeds from the event will benefit the recovery of John Michael Night and the Core Foundation.
