I would like to recognize Officer Randall Morrissey for his dedication and service to the citizens of Winter Park during the 2010 year. Officer Morrissey has taken on the challenge of several collateral duties during 2010 as well as remaining highly productive in his duties as a Traffic Officer and Traffic Homicide Investigator.

Officer Morrissey was assigned the task of completing the 2010 Florida Law Enforcement Challenge application which required extensive research to accurately reflect the data requested. Officer Morrissey organized the media coverage for the four "Click it or Ticket" campaigns during 2010 as well as participating in the selective enforcement. Officer Morrissey is very proactive in all of his selective enforcements both within school zones and those requested by the citizens within Winter Park.

In addition to the above items Officer Morrissey is a certified Child Seat Inspector. Officer Morrissey conducted 45 child seat inspections during the 2010 year. Officer Morrissey takes his time to show each citizens how to correctly install their child seats and makes himself available to answer any questions which arise.

Officer Morrissey was called upon to assist members of the Winter Park SWAT Team in their training and preparation for the 2010 SWAT Round-Up. Officer Morrissey's experience as a "Rappel Master" and certified firearms instructor was of great assistance.

I am very appreciative of the effort given to the Special Operations Unit by Officer Morrissey. He is consistently one of the most productive Officers within the unit and manages to remain up to date on all collateral assignments. His dedication is greatly appreciated.
