Horizon West is kicking off the new year in style with its first block party of 2022.

The popular monthly block parties are back and the area has some exciting activities planned for locals to start their weekend off on the right foot.

West Orange residents are encouraged to bring their chairs, blankets, folding tables, tents, yard games and more to setup and hang out with family and friends.

This month's event will feature food trucks, giveaways and prizes, kids games and activities, live music, and more.

Local artist Ben Lewis will perform during the event.

January's food truck line-up will include Simply Boba, Smoking Soul, Jersey Mike's and Crooked Cow.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, on the lawn in front of the Hamlin Cinepolis.
