Horizon West soon will welcome a popular sub joint.

Jersey Mike's Subs will open Wednesday, Nov. 10, in Lakeside Village, and celebrate its entrance with a fundraiser.

The new shop is located at 6407 Old Brick Road, Windermere. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Franchise owner Frank Bergren and Operating Partner Robert Woods will hold the grand opening and fundraiser to support The Fine Arts Boosters.

“I am beyond thrilled to be opening my first Jersey Mike's in my community of Windermere,” Bergren said. “We are proud to be partnering with the Fine Arts Boosters and look forward to further investing in and serving the community.”

On Wednesday, 50 percent of store sales will go to the organization through the fundraiser. Bergren and Woods said they are looking for "individuals interested in career opportunities with extraordinary growth potential" to join their team.

Guests can place takeout orders in-store or for pick-up through the website or through the Jersey Mike’s app. Delivery is available in most areas through the Jersey Mike’s app or through third-party delivery partners. Curbside pick-up is also available for orders placed in the Jersey Mike’s app.

The sub shop, established in 1956, first opened in New Jersey and now has more than 2,000 locations in the United States. Jersey Mike's serves hot subs such as Mike's Famous Philly, cold subs such as The Original Italian, and even wraps such as the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak.

The new location is also searching for employees. Interested candidates can apply by emailing [email protected]. For more information, call (407) 605-0694.
