It has been a couple of weeks now since the Panama City area took a direct hit from Category 4 Hurricane Michael, and a local church needs your help to help those who have lost everything.

Kensington Church Orlando and Windermere Preparatory School have partnered together and with the West Orange community to fill a semi truck with donations that will go straight to those who have been affected by the hurricane.

Community members are encouraged to bring donations such as first-aid kits, generators, nonperishable foods, tarps, cleaning products, insect repellent, diapers, sleeping bags, flashlights, batteries, sunscreen, dry pet food and extension cords to Windermere Prep and help the school and church “Fill That Truck.” Donations are being taken to Northstar Church in Panama City on Monday, Oct. 29. Northstar will then distribute supplies to victims.

Remaining donation windows are 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27; and 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. The church and school ask those wanting to help to only donate what is on the list (see below) in new or barely used condition.
