Letters to Santa Contest winner

Dear Santa,

The gift that I would most like to give this Christmas is JOY. Grown-ups are very angry lately and I will try to help turn it around. If grownups would just take time out from being so mad so that they could celebrate Christmas they would find time to let the JOY come to them!

This year I plan to spread JOY by holding open doors for people while saying Merry Christmas! I won’t forget to say please and thank you. I will offer to help people with their bags. I will make sure I always have at least some quarters with me in case we see a Salvation Army Santa because I know it goes to a really good cause. I will look through all my toys to see if there is anything I can donate to make someone else’s Christmas better. Since I have a December birthday and get many gift cards, this year I am planning on using one of them to buy a Toys for Tots gift. These are all the things that I can think of but Santa, you are one of the greatest JOY makers in the world. I definitely could use your help. There is nothing that can bring JOY more than hope. Christmas means hope for so many people around the world. It’s more than a present or gift. It’s the giving of yourself. I hope lots of JOY and hope are delivered from your sleigh this year.
