Public works pipeline:

The Maitland Public Works Department continues its work for all Maitland residents. Here you will find a list of completed projects and projects in the pipeline.

Completed:

• Replacement of Lift Station No. 2 in the Oaks Subdivision on Dommerich Drive

• Construction of Dommerich Drive Baffle Box

• Construction of Minnehaha Circle Baffle Box

In the Pipeline:

• Pedestrian and bicycle access to Maitland’s SunRail Station: Engineering plans are underway for a boardwalk from the Greenwood Gardens Subdivision to the station.

• Old Horatio Covered Bridge roof replacement: Engineering plans have been finalized and the city plans to negotiate with individual contractors.

• Lake Sybelia stormwater project: The city is pursuing a grant to construct improvements to provide treatment for stormwater runoff into Lake Sybelia.

Maitland Farmers Market is at Lake Lily Park on Sundays beginning at 9 a.m. Check itsmymaitland.com for a list of vendors and market updates.

The Salvador Dalí and André Smith Exhibition is showing at Art & History Museums-Maitland’s Maitland Art Center now through Feb. 22. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and children.

Art31: 31 Days of Experimentation & Collaboration will take place at A&H’s Maitland Art Center March 1 through March 31. Some events require tickets. Call 407-539-2181 for more information.

Serve on a board or commission

The city of Maitland is seeking Maitland resident volunteers to serve on its boards and commissions. Boards meet regularly and provide valuable input and recommendations to the City Council.
