The next Screen on the Green is on Dec. 17

Thank you for joining us for Screen on the Green on Nov. 5. The next Screen on the Green event is a double feature with an encore presentation of “Frozen” and “The Good Dinosaur” at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17. Bring your blankets and chairs to the Maitland Middle School Soccer Field at 1901 Choctaw Trail and we’ll give you the stars.

Save the date – Season of Light

The city of Maitland is pleased to announce Season of Light, a Maitland holiday tradition. The celebration will take place at Lake Lily Park beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Join us for fun, music, a snow slide, and fireworks.

Santa’s parade will take place on Dec. 10

Each year, the Maitland Police Department produces the Santa’s Parade event. Santa will make his first of two visits to Maitland two weeks before Dec. 25 on Saturday, Dec. 10. The time and route have not yet been published. Both will be posted on itsmymaitland.com when available. MPD will post Santa’s whereabouts during the parade on Facebook. Maitland Senior Center November Friday Flicks Schedule

The Senior Center hosts movie screenings for patrons on Fridays at 1 p.m. The November schedule follows:

Nov. 11: “The Man Who Knew Infinity”

Nov. 18: “Wild Oats”

Nov. 25: No movie screening due to observance of Thanksgiving holiday.

Rotary Club presents 40th annual Art Under the Stars

The Rotary Club of Maitland will present the 40th Art Under the Stars Festival at Lake Lily Park this week. A full list of exhibiting artists can be found at maitlandrotaryartfestival.com and you can pick up an event program at City Hall at 1776 Independence Lane.
