The City Council and CRA Board met on Monday, Aug. 22.

Three presentations were scheduled:

• Employee of the Quarter

• Distinguished Budget Award (GFOA) Nick Segel, Budget Analyst

• Welcome Certificate – D Dog’s Lodge

A public hearing was scheduled:

• Ordinance – Lease Renewal Maitland Area Chamber of Commerce

The City Council meeting recessed and the CRA Board meeting convened:

The consent agenda was approved as presented:

• Approval of the Community Redevelopment Agency Meeting Minutes of July 11, 2016

• Approval of the Community Redevelopment Agency Workshop Meeting Minutes of July 14, 2016

There were two decision items considered:

• Resolution – Adopting the Branding Plan for Downtown Maitland

• Approve 30 percent conceptual plans for Independence Lane streetscape design and approve consultant to proceed to 60 percent plans

The CRA Board meeting adjourned and the City Council meeting reconvened.

The following items on the consent agenda were approved as presented:

• Approval of the City Council Meeting Minutes of Aug. 8, 2016

• Approval of the City Council Budget Workshop Meeting Minutes of Aug. 1, 2016

• Receipt of the Transportation Advisory Board Meeting Minutes of July 14, 2016

• Purchase of SCADA Auto Dialer System for Water Treatment Plants 4, 5 & 6

• Re-Allocate Funding for the Gateway Sewer Extension Project

The City Council contemplated and acted on four decision items:

• Appointment – Police Officers & Firefighters Pension Trust Fund Board/City’s Senior Management Staff

• Resolution adopting the Branding Style Guide for Downtown Maitland & West Maitland

• Approve 30 percent design of Independence Lane and approval to continue design to 60 percent

• Resolution – Solid Waste Rates and Deposits
