Meet the Democratic candidates for Orange County Sheriff

In a Q&A with the Observer, Orange County Sheriff Democratic candidates answered questions about their plans and priorities for the Sheriff's Office.

With Orange County’s August primary elections a month away, candidates for various offices are working to earn the votes of the constituents they hope to serve. This week, the West Orange Times & Observer and Southwest Orange Observer introduce the three Democratic candidates running for Orange County sheriff.

The candidates are Andrew Darling, Jose "Joe" Lopez, Eric McIntyre, incumbent John Mina and Darryl Sheppard. The county's primary election takes place Tuesday, Aug. 18.
