Windermere residents soon will have a convenient option for COVID-19 vaccinations as a mobile vaccination site, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Health, comes to Windermere Farmers Market.

The date is not yet set, but vaccinations will begin later in August, with a follow-up date in September, according to a social media post from the Town of Windermere. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered at the site.

The recent uptick in COVID-19 cases has sparked a return to many preventative measures at restaurants, retail locations and schools. A 30-day mask mandate at Orange County Public Schools went into effect today, however parents can choose to opt out with written notice.

More information, including exact dates and whether or not you'll need an appointment, will be available on the Town of Windermere website, along with the town social media accounts.
