Oakland announces community cancellations

All meetings and gatherings have been canceled through April.

The town of Oakland is following a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is canceling its meetings, gatherings and events through April. The CDC recommends all large gatherings of 50 or more people be canceled or postponed for the next eight weeks.

The town of Oakland has canceled the following public events:

  • Coffee with the Town Manager, March 19 and April 16
  • Celebration Among the Oaks, April 4
  • Jazz in the Town Center, March 27 and April 24
  • Wine and Dine, April 25

The following meetings have been canceled:

  • Planning and Zoning for March 17 and April 21
  • Town Commission work session and regular meeting March 24
  • Architectural Review Board for April 7
