The Oakland Town Commission will consider the building design and site plan of a proposed church on West Colonial Drive at its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. Lakeside Church is presenting plans for a 1,000-seat auditorium and office space for the 9.4-acre parcel.

Tractor Supply is requesting a variance to the town’s design district guidelines for its proposed store on West Colonial Drive at the extension of South Starr Street. The variance is necessary to accommodate the business’ tractor-trailer deliveries to the 10-acre property.

The commission meeting will be presented in a hybrid format — residents and concerned citizens can watch the meeting virtually or in person at the Oakland Meeting Hall. For information on watching virtually, call Oakland Town Hall at (407) 656-1117.
