A developer proposing a mixed-use project in the town of Oakland is holding a community meeting to provide information and receive feedback from residents. The meeting will be held at the Town Meeting Hall Thursday, May 13, in two sessions — at 6 and 7 p.m. — to meet COVID-19 protocols.

To reserve a time, visit bit.ly/3tGIJxD for the 6 p.m. time slot and bit.ly/3ofIBUY for the 7 p.m. meeting.

The property is located west of Florida’s Turnpike on West Colonial Drive between Palm Casual and ABC Companies.

As required by the town, the developer is hosting this community meeting with the intention of offering advanced notice of the proposed project and to gather meaningful feedback from residents. The developer will present materials and information, as well as accept questions and comments.

This meeting is part of the early stages of the town's development review process and does not indicate an endorsement by the Town Commission, according to town officials. All development projects must go through public meetings before the Appearance Review Board, Planning & Zoning Board and Town Commission — and meet town code — prior to approval.
