Obituary: Henry Wilson "Hank" Sines

It’s with great sadness that the family of Henry Wilson “Hank” Sines announces his passing at the age of 73 on Sunday, May 5, 2019, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Henry was born and raised in Montpelier, Ohio. His parents were Volney P. Sines and Elva (Gonter) Sines. After graduation from Montpelier High School, he went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He was immediately hired by an international accounting firm in Dayton, Ohio, and soon received his CPA accreditation. His career was postponed while he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, serving a tour in Vietnam.

Mr. Sines moved his family to Florida in 1973 and started his own successful accounting firm in Winter Garden the following year. He recently retired from Sines, Blakeslee, Madyda.

Hank always enjoyed sports of all kinds, and after moving to Florida, he became a huge Gator fan.

He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, Winter Garden, serving as finance chairman for many years, working with youth, going on mission trips and participating in United Methodist Men and Sunday School.

Mr. Sines also served on the Community Redevelopment Advisory Board, the West Orange Healthcare Foundation, West Orange Scholarship Foundation and many more.

Hank is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Nancy (Chrisman); three loving children, Kirk (Sharon) Sines, Keelee (Mitchell) Aaron and David (Rachel) Sines; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Kelsey and Courtney Aaron, Henry and Elijah Sines and Kathrine Sines; sister, Jenny (Hubert) Cummins; brother, John Sines; nieces, Tandra (Cummins) Brown, Michelle (Sines) Bollinger; and nephew, Heath Sines.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 125 N. Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden, Florida 34787. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 19, in the sanctuary. The Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
