Obituary: Rudolph Gibson
He was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Black, Alabama. He started working on his daddy’s farm at a very early age. He came to Central Florida as a teenager to pick fruit. He started driving a truck and hauling fruit for Minute Maid, which later became coca Cola Foods. He received several awards for safe driving. Throughout the 35 years, he drove more than 3 million miles without an accident.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of Tavares, Florida; children, Robert Gibson, of Astatula, Cynthia Griffin, of Ocoee, Diane McCoy, of Ocoee, Rose Griffin, of Ocoee, and James Lloyd Gibson, of Brazil, Indiana; stepdaughter, Debbie Foster, of Apopka; stepson, Brian Gibson, of Orlando; sisters, Mellaree Carlton, of Tavares, Vyleta Skipper, of Winter Garden and Debbie Gibson; 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
