Obituary: Thomas DeLucia

Thomas “Tom” DeLucia, age 68, went home to be with his personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 18, 2016. He had been married to his loving wife, Lege (Jonni) DeLucia, for 49 years.

Tom was born in Rochester, New York, in 1947, and his family relocated to Central Florida in 1958.  He graduated Evans High School in 1966. Tom retired from UPS in 2006 as a truck driver, and he soon joined the Good News Prison Ministry in Lake County where he served his Lord. Tom was an avid adventure seeker. Tom and Jonni were blessed to travel the world. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends Jeep Trail riding through the Ocala National Forest and riding his Harley Davidson. Tom was a truly genuine person that touched everyone that crossed his path. He had a special gift and a contagious smile.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jonni DeLucia; daughters, Kristyn Ledford (Chris) and Traci DeLucia; and five grandchildren, Joshua Ledford, Courtney Ledford, Brandon Hemphill, Taylor Hemphill and Connor Hemphill.

Please join the family for a celebration of his life at Winter Garden Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.  Winter Garden Cemetery is located at 13636 Lake Butler Blvd., Winter Garden, FL 34787.
