Willie Lee “Lightning” Lightner, 73, of Winter Garden, Florida departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Willie was born on May 16, 1944, to the late Willie Mae Lightner and Willie B. Patterson in Clayton, Alabama.

He worked in the citrus industry for several years.

Willie is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lightner; stepchildren, Darrol (Gretchen) Ward, Chantina Hayes, Danza Petty; 10 siblings; 15 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. A service of celebration was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul AME Church, 330 Center St., Winter Garden. Interment: Winter Garden Cemetery. Postell’s Mortuary is providing service for the Lightner family.
