OCOEE In his first and only season with the Ocoee Knights, Luke Henson is doing his best to leave a lasting impression upon the program.

Henson, a senior first baseman for the Knights (12-2) who came to the program after previously playing for Lake Highland Prep, recently had a span of four games where he belted three home runs — including one in a big win against Olympia March 17.

Then, against Lyman March 22, Henson delivered a walk-off single for Ocoee in a 3-2 victory.

"It's not just his numbers — he's gotten big hits," head coach Bobby Brewer said. "And on top of getting big hits, he's a leader by example."

As for which of Henson's big hits was the most memorable, the Lenoir-Rhyne commit says it was the round-tripper against the Titans.

"Probably the home run against Olympia because we were down and everybody was really excited when I hit it," Henson said.

Most importantly for Henson, though, is that his new team is off to a strong start as it enters an important stretch of the season.

"I think we're a great team," Henson said. "We're all really good friends and we together well as a team."
