Trinity Prep 34, Cocoa Beach 10

Chris Cayo scored touchdowns for the Saints, who improved to 3-1 on the season.

 

Thursday, Oct. 5

Ocoee 14, West Port 8

Ocoee sophomore receiver Dexter Rentz fills in at cornerback and ties a state record for interceptions in a game with five.

Winter Park 21, Olympia 7

After a 7-7 halftime tie, the Wildcats (6-0) pull away and spoil Homecoming for Olympia (3-3).

Edgewater 38, Lake Howell 14

The Eagles continue to roll along, improving to 4-2 and 2-0 in their district. Robert Harvey Jr. accounted for four total touchdowns for Edgewater, passing for one and running for three.

 

Wekiva 14, Dr. Phillips 0

An incredible defensive effort by the host Mustangs held Dr. Phillips under 100 total yards and kept the Panthers off the scoreboard for the first time since 2006. Dr. Phillips is 4-1.

 

Harmony 42, Windermere 2

Dearkquarious Lewis' caused a safety, giving the Wolverines their only points of the game. Windermere is 0-6 and 0-3 in its district.

 

Friday, Oct. 6

 

Jones 21, West Orange 10

The Warriors (2-4) led early and put forth a strong effort against the Tigers. Andrew Brickweg kicked a field goal and Nemea Hall rushed for a touchdown.

 

Bishop Moore 35, Melbourne Central Catholic 24

The Hornets (5-1) bounced back after their first loss of the season with a road win.

 

Orangewood Christian 41, Legacy Charter 13

The Rams cruise and improve to 4-1. The Eagles are 0-5.

 

Lake Mary Prep 49, CFCA 14

Eagles (1-5) start strong but cannot keep pace with Griffins.

Royals (5-0) roll against opponent playing its first-ever game.
