First Reading: New 4 Locos Tacos restaurant on West Silver Star Road

Tonight Ocoee commissioners will discuss this ordinance, which proposes a 4 Locos Tacos restaurant being built on a property north of West Silver Star Road and west of Bluford Avenue. The 0.6-acre property, located at 101 W. Silver Star Road, was previously used as a single-family residence, according to city documents. The applicant is requesting a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment so the property can be rezoned to C-2 (commercial) from R-1AA (single-family dwelling) to be used for a restaurant. City documents also state that the applicant is working with city staff on a building design. If the ordinance passes second reading on June 20, it would make the restaurant the first building in the city to meet urban architectural standards.

Public Hearing: Ocoee Village Preliminary Site Plan

City leaders will hear input from citizens regarding the Ocoee Village project, located on Franklin Street, east of State Road 429. The proposed project includes constructing four mixed-use retail and office buildings on approximately 5.77 acres. The site is currently undeveloped and zoned community commercial (C-2). The buildings would total 88,000 square feet, with 41,139 square feet each of office and retail space. City documents state that the first phase will consist of the first building, which will house BridgeWell Capital LLC headquarters.
