Ocoee High among pop-up vaccination sites for school employees this weekend

Any school employee, including those who work at charter or private schools, will be eligible to receive the vaccine March 13 and 14.

This weekend, school employees will have the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at pop-up vaccination sites at five Orange County Public Schools high schools, including Ocoee High in West Orange County.

The Florida Department of Emergency Management will operate the pop-up vaccination sites from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14.

Any OCPS employee, charter school employee or private school employee who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is eligible. Appointment tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis on-site the day of each event.

Each of these sites will have 500 doses of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine available each of the two days:

  • Colonial High, 6100 Oleander Drive, Orlando
  • East River High, 650 East River Falcons Way, Orlando
  • Freedom High, 2500 W. Taft-Vineland Road, Orlando 
  • Oak Ridge High, 700 W. Oak Ridge Road, Orlando 
  • Ocoee High, 1925 Ocoee Crown Point Parkway, Ocoee 

 

Additionally, all OCPS employees, regardless of age or job title, are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at all Florida distribution sites. Bring your OCPS ID and a state-issued ID such as a driver's license.
