Ocoee hoops No. 4 in state in latest poll

The stellar play of the Ocoee boys basketball team has not gone unnoticed.

The Knights, who improved to 14-3 on the season on Jan. 7 with a 59-48 win over Freedom, are ranked No. 4 in the state in latest FABC/Source Hoops poll released earlier in the day on Jan. 7.

The Metro Conference dominated the poll in 8A, with Evans (14-4), a district rival of Ocoee’s, atop the poll and Oak Ridge weighing in at No. 2. 

Winter Park is No. 5 and Boone is No. 6.

Windermere Prep (9-7) is the only other coverage-area program to be ranked in the latest state rankings, weighing in at No. 8 in the state in Class 3A.

The next rankings will be released on Jan. 20.
