The community is being invited to provide comments about the Ocoee Police Department as part of the process to get accreditation for the department.

An assessment team from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, CFA, will arrive on July 23 to evaluate policies, procedures, management, operations and support services at the Ocoee Police Department. Agency members and the general public are invited to provide comments to the CFA team during their assessment.

The Ocoee Police Department has to comply with approximately 250 standards to receive accredited status. A copy of the standards manual is available through the department’s Public Information Officer at (407) 905-3160.

For additional information about the CFA, or if anyone wishes to offer written comments about the Ocoee Police Department’s ability to meet the standards of accreditation, please write to: CFA, P.O. Box 1489, Tallahassee, Florida 32302, or email to [email protected].
