Police arrested 32-year-old man March 27 for allegedly pointing a gun at a man on West Colonial Drive.

According to a police report, the victim was driving westbound on West Colonial Drive in Ocoee around 11:15 a.m. when he passed a gray Toyota Camry. The victim told police that after he passed the sedan, its driver, Bunnavath Ly, pulled up next to him on his passenger side.

The victim said Ly rolled down his window and pointed a gun at him before shouting an expletive followed by a racial slur. The victim said he was afraid and called 911 to report the incident.

The report states that the victim followed Ly at a distance and reported his direction of travel until police arrived and performed a traffic stop.

Winter Garden police stopped Ly and found a gun in his waistband, the report states. Ocoee police spoke with Ly, who told them he pulled out the gun to place it in his cup holder because he feared for his safety. Police said Ly didn't have an explanation as to why he rolled down his window.

Ly was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was transported to the Orange County Jail.
