Ocoee police seek information in shooting

The incident happened Monday, May 3, in a business parking lot on Silver Star Road.

Ocoee police are looking for information related to a shooting that took place around 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 3, at 451 W. Silver Star Road, Ocoee.

Officers responded to the shooting in the parking lot area of Mi Pueblito, Tienda Mexicana. According to the Ocoee Police Department, initial reports indicate two men shot several rounds from a car in the parking lot after the theft of lawn equipment from a truck and trailer parked in the store’s parking lot. Witnesses said the suspect vehicle’s rear windshield was damaged at the scene, police said. The identity of the suspects is unknown.

The suspects are described as black males of average height and slender build. One was wearing black clothing, and the other was in white shorts and a dark hoodie. Their faces were partially covered, according to witnesses.

The vehicle they were in is a small, white, four-door sedan, possibly a Kia or Hyundai, with a damaged rear windshield.
