Ocoee resident and Wekiva High School graduate Pfc. Connor Iglesias earned the title of U.S. Marine in May by completing boot camp training held at Parris Island, South Carolina.

Iglesias was part of the 3rd Battalion, Lima Company and recently completed required combat training held at Camp Geiger, North Carolina, in June. His graduating class was among the first in U.S. Marine Corps boot camp history that suspended family members from attending graduation ceremonies because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Iglesias is the son of Mike and Diane Iglesias, of Ocoee, and the grandson of Billy and Judy Sanders, of Winter Garden.
