OCPS annouces schools will be closed Monday, Sept. 11

Orange County Public Schools decided to close schools on Monday, Sept. 11 due to Hurricane Irma

ORANGE COUNTY On Thursday morning, Orange County Public Schools announced that all schools will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11, due to Hurricane Irma. 

The district reported that only essential personnel will report to work over the weekend to monitor the storm and work in shelters. OCPS said they have yet to determine if school will remain closed beyond Monday.

Schools will remain open on Friday, Sept. 8, however all after-school extended day programs will be closed on Friday. Extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday and throughout the weekend have also been cancelled.
