Orange County Public Schools honored a new elite class of inductees to the Orange County Public Schools Hall of Fame at its gala dinner and ceremony Saturday, April 23, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.

The 2022 Inductees are: Jim Ferber (community champion), Marge LaBarge (distinguished educator), distinguished alumni Kenard Lang (Evans High Class of 1993, Robinswood Middle and Hiawassee Elementary), Belvin Perry Jr. (Jones High Class of 1968 and Carver Jr. High) and Gabriel John Preisser (West Orange High Class of 2002, Apopka Memorial Middle and Dream Lake Elementary).

The Hall of Fame was founded in 2014 to honor individuals who have earned distinction and recognition from their former classmates, teachers, community partners and other stakeholders. From a lengthy and notable list of nominees submitted by citizens, parents, alumni and employees, the selection committee chose five new members to comprise this new class of the OCPS Hall of Fame.

Proceeds from this event support district and school programs that mobilize caring and committed adult advocates for students.
