The Winter Garden Squeeze have come alive at the plate over the past three games and, as a result, the team finds itself tied for first place entering its weekend set against Sanford — the team the Squeeze are tied with for the top standing in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.

After a three game stretch last week that saw the Squeeze scored a combined five runs, Winter has — beginning with its 8-3 win over DeLand this past Saturday — scored 22 runs in its past three games.

All three have been victories — against DeLand, Winter Park and Leesburg, respectively — and now the Squeeze have a 5-3 record for the summer.

Winter Garden will travel to Sanford tonight and Saturday night, while hosting the River Rats (5-3) Friday night.

That game will represent the Squeeze's Father's Day Game. All dads get in free to the ballpark and will have the option to join their sons on the field prior to the game. Any Squeeze dads in attendance will get to throw the first pitch out to their son.

First pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Heller Bros. Ballpark, on the campus of West Orange High School in Winter Garden.
