The Olympia boys soccer team is headed to a district final — and the regional playoffs — for a third consecutive season.

The host Titans (16-4-1) soundly defeated the rival West Orange Warriors (11-3-3), 4-0, in the semifinals of the Class 5A, District 4 Tournament.

"Right now the boys are very high, we’re going to enjoy this win for now," Olympia head coach Lou Romao said. "Then tomorrow, it's back to work and preparing for Dr. Phillips (in the district final)."

Andrew Lizyness had a goal and an assist for the Titans, while Juan Garcia, Marcos Couto and Ben Cooper added a goal each.

With Friday's district final against rival Dr. Phillips looming, Romao believes his team is ready to finally hit its stride.

"We have not been 100% healthy," Romao said. "A lot of the games we lost, we really only had about six starters in there."

Romao also credits losses late in the regular season — to Winter Park and Oak Ridge — for humbling his team.

"I think these guys are more humble than last year," Romao said. "I think the players realize 'hey, we can't just wear an Olympia shirt — we have to play Olympia soccer.'"
