With the Hurricane Dorian passing Florida, the collection schedule for garbage, recycling, yard waste and large items will be adjusted in unincorporated Orange County by the number of days service was suspended, including Saturday and Sunday, to catch up on service.

Customers whose regular day is Monday should place garbage, recycling, large items and yard waste at the curb on Thursday, Sept. 5. Collection for Tuesday customers would take place Friday, Sept. 6; collection for Wednesday customers would take place Saturday, Sept. 7, and so on.

Other days of service will follow until the normal service schedule resumes, which will likely be the week of Sept. 16. Garbage collection will be the priority. Yard waste and storm debris may be delayed depending the severity of the storm.

Regular guidelines will apply once service returns. Visit ocfl.net/UtilitiesStormInfo.
