1. The Legacy Charter High School baseball team is on an impressive pitching streak; the Eagles have thrown three consecutive no-hitters. Senior Andrew Birko and sophomore Colby McClure threw a combined no-hitter in the Eagles’ game against Umatilla Monday, Feb. 24. A day later, the Eagles shut out Umatilla again, when senior Jacob Worley was one walked batter away from a perfect game. The Eagles also blanked Ocala Christian Friday, Feb. 28, when Birko, Jack Firestone and Kyle DiSabatino threw for a combined no-hitter.

2. In The First Academy’s 13-1 win over The Villages Charter in softball action Friday, Feb. 28, Royals pitcher Hannah Harper pitched a gem as she threw a complete game highlighted by eight strikeouts. Teammate Rachel Sheridan led the way at the plate by going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs.

3. Despite falling 5-4 to Apopka on the baseball diamond Thursday, Feb. 27, West Orange’s Jimmy Duncan went 2 for 2 with two RBIs for the Warriors. Teammate William Ross picked up eight strikeouts through three strong innings of work on the mound.

4. The Olympia boys tennis team continued its early dominance as the Titans took care of Windermere in a 6-1 victory Thursday, Feb. 27. The Titans saw wins from Samuel Oropeza (8-3), Mac Foster (8-5) and Nicholas Galochkin (8-4). Meanwhile, for Windermere, Franklin Parra picked up the Wolverines’ lone win (8-5) in No. 3 singles play.

5. In Olympia boys water polo’s 21-3 victory over Windermere in Dr. Phillips High School’s fourth annual Ian Supra Memorial Tournament Wednesday, Feb. 26, Touma Mack led the way for the Titans as he picked up a whopping seven goals, two assists and three steals.
